Giulio Iacchetti has worked in industrial design since 1992, collaborating with brands such as Abet Laminati, Alessi, Danese, Casamania, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Magis, Meritalia and Moleskine. He has curated exhibitions originating from different design themes such as the cross leading to Cruciale, held in Milan, Rome and Enna and food-design, which resulted in K-Ration Meals for Soldiers in Action, produced by the Triennale in Milan in January 2015. He has won various awards, including two Compasso d’Oro: in 2001, with the multi-purpose Moscardino spork, today included in the permanent design exhibition at the MoMA in New York; and in 2014 with the series of Sfera manhole covers for Montini. In 2009 he received the Premio dei Premi award from the President of the Republic of Italy for his ‘Design alla Coop’ project, an innovative initiative aiming to bring design to large-scale retail. In May 2009 the Triennale in Milan hosted his solo exhibition ‘Giulio Iacchetti. Oggetti disobbedienti’.
