Camper Store in Soho

Camper Store a Soho

The ultra-new Camper Store opened in New York’s SoHo district is one of architect Shigeru Ban’s latest projects.

Dominated by a red wall visible from the road, with its gigantic Camper logo, the showroom’s crisply minimal 120 square metres are located at 110 Prince Street on the corner of Greene Street. The most striking element is the wall shelving whose zigzag profile allows only those entering from Prince Street to see the shoes on display, while the Greene Street entrance reveals only the back of the shelving, which composes the company logo. A long row of seating at the centre of the showroom is lit by Yumi lamps, also designed by Ban for FontanaArte.
