Pirellina and Pirellone: another timeless collection by Gio Ponti, inspired by the famous Milan skyscraper.
In 1967 Gio Ponti designed the Pirellina and Pirellone lamps for FontanaArte, inspired by the Milan skyscraper. Made with curved glass panels and metal structures, they evoke the vertical development of the buildings. Pirellone is a floor lamp with diffused, indirect light; Pirellina is the bedside version. Both are today timeless icons of Italian design.
