SCINTILLA
The absolutely novel Scintilla system combines the essential versatility of a decorative lamp and a lighting capacity comparable to a technical system. The great success of this system persuaded the company to design a free-standing version in the early eighties, with the main structure fastened to the base and stem in metal.
Technical data
Suspension lamp with diffused and dimmable light. Chromed metal frame. The lamp is supplied with two different diffusers made of transparent and sandblasted borosilicate glass. Available separately a reflector made of anodized aluminum, for indirect beam. Ceiling connection in chromed polymer. Bulb not included.

Livio e Piero Castiglioni
He graduated from the faculty of Architecture at Milan Polytechnic in 1936. Two years later, he opened a studio with his brother Pier Giacomo and they were joined by their younger brother Achille once he had graduated. Pietro Maria Castiglioni, a.k.a Piero, graduated in architecture in 1970 in Milan, where he lives and works dedicating, almost exclusively, to lighting design - private homes, showrooms, art galleries, museums, shopping and sports centers, hotels, offices, lighting public and external - and teaching activity at the University of Geneva, the Domus Academy and the Polytechnic of Milan.
