Gae Aulenti e Piero Castiglioni
Gae Aulenti graduated from Milan Polytechnic in 1953 and has been working in Milan since 1956, working in architectural design, interior and industrial design, as well as theatre scenography. In the early 1980s she became art director of FontanaArte, a company for which she also designed timeless lamps and furnishing objects that are still in the catalogue today. Pietro Maria Castiglioni, a.k.a Piero, graduated in architecture in 1970 in Milan, where he lives and works dedicating, almost exclusively, to lighting design - private homes, showrooms, art galleries, museums, shopping and sports centers, hotels, offices, lighting public and external - and teaching activity at the University of Geneva, the Domus Academy and the Polytechnic of Milan.
